show/hide image depending on txt file

Im looking for the possibility to have 2 image files and 2 txt files communicate with each other.
if textfile 1 is empty image1 should be hidden
if textfile 1 has data image 1 should be visible
same for textfile2 and image 2

i don't know if this is possible?

yes it can be done, but not without a lot of work on the back end. Depending on what the desired application is there may be another, simpler way to do what you are trying to accomplish.
