Should use Mic filters while recording or just continue to use no filters and edit in audacity?

Hello there,
I have a quick question and looking for suggestions about recording/editing audio with OBS;
So currently, once I finish recording my game, I edit the mic audio with audacity in order to remove the background noise, compress the audio, and audio limit. I recently noticed OBS has mic filters and now I’m wondering if I should use them while recording, or just continue to use no filters and edit in audacity.
Thanks,
- JC
Note*: Currently I just use filters while live streaming.
