Question / Help Should I use Nvidia Encoding ?

Under Settings, I noticed that there are 2 encoders to choose
H.264 and NVidia H.264.

My question is can I use the latter safely?
I have an Nvidia GTX 970 card.

Apologies if I posted this in the wrong place, or if the question had already been answered.
I'm in a bit of a hurry today.

Are you streaming or recording? And to where?

For streaming, you generally want to stick with x264. For recordings, the hardware encoders paired with the recording presets in studio (Simple output mode -> recording quality drop down) work very well.

I'm streaming to Twitch, and I do local recordings as well.
I would like to improve my Stream Settings ro, as I'm using settings from my old Graphics card.

No stream attempt in that log. See if you can grab one that has a stream in it so we can see your stream settings.

For Twitch, your best bet is usually 720p, 30fps, 2500-3000 bitrate, as your connection allows.

Yeah, you can definitely bump up the resolution a tad. You're at 540p now, try changing it to 720p and see how that looks for you.

Worth keeping an eye on your bandwidth depending what upload you have and bitrate set as the logs showing some errors.

(Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 6668 (2.3%))

would be a glitch in the matrix but worth watching.

Noted. Thanks. :)
