Question / Help Should I resize the video on the "output" or the "video" options?

Looking on the configuration page, I've noticed there's options to resize the output in two places

Which one should I be using?
and if it is not too much to ask: what's the difference?

I've had this done on both video and output, no issues for me! Even when streaming at a different reso than the video re scale!

Now you've lost me. Isn't THAT what determines the resolution you're streaming at?

I think the output section has the final say, as I stream at 360p at the moment and record at 720p!

do it in video tab it looks better and is more efficent. Really the only use i see is if you're streaming and recording on the same settings and want to record in a higher resolution than your stream.
