Should I record with x264 (cpu) or Hardware NVENC (new) when playing Minecraft Java? Which one would be a better option (cause less lag)?

NVENC doesn't work for me, and idk why. Perhaps you can resolve my issue? (It's just a framerate issue, I think I shouldn't be using VBR but I don't know for sure)

I see, thank you so much. Does that mean x264 is my only option? And if so, what would be the best x264 local recording settings for my device? (I am planning on uploading the videos that I record onto youtube)

If you have an Intel CPU, QuickSync (QSV) is also an option. Encoder settings are specific to machine, resolution, framerate, content, and internet connection speed. Best to run the Auto-Configuration Wizard from the Tools menu and adjust its settings as needed.

In general, shoot for either 720p60 or 1080p30 (assuming your machine can hit either) with the veryfast CPU preset or faster.

1. You're using streamlabs OBS, which means this technically isn't the correct forum to look for support
2. Your GT730 does in fact support NVENC
3. Turn the quality setting from Max Quality down to Quality, and disable Look Ahead and PsychoVisual Tuning. All of these options use extra GPU resources, which is probably what's causing most of the issue with your GPU being overloaded
4. If you're still running into rendering/encoding lag, try reducing your output resolution, or lowering your framerate from 60fps to 30fps.

Past that, it's unknown what can really be done to help -- streamlabs logs do not show nearly the level of information that OBS Studio does. If you haven't already, turn Game DVR off, but that's the only advice that can be given.

Okay thanks for the tip! Where should I head the forum designated for support specifically with streamlabs? A link would be much appreciated!

-Also, I have tried your recommended settings and my recording looks better however the frame rate is still pretty bad next to x264. Sorry for the trouble!
