A Python 3.6 that reduces the bitrate of the stream / recording as audio increases. Includes two versions of the script, one that looks for specific jumps in volume and another that proportionally relates high volume amounts with bitrate count.

How exactly does this work? Why should bitrate be lowered as audio increases? (Just curious, I have no idea really)
