We stream a webcam. Actually 2.
We have a 2nd monitor (that is the projector.)
We stream live what you can see in the room, what's on stage, plus what we project in the room so people can join in at home.
To do this when we stream, we stream a back ground of the webcam (either) with the projector monitor "projector" in a box in the corner then stream this. If we change slides on the projector we change what the room sees plus those at home. Perfect . This works great for people at home. But increasingly people at the back of the room are saying they can't see, "can they have the webcam zoom in as a view on the projector." They know they can see this when they get home. But it looks daft to me that they can't see it on the big screen live.
IE. Stream the OBS webcam. Then output it as a 2nd monitor feed on local. The desire is that that webcam cam is now NOT just the Internet. It is in the room on the projector so Internet PLUS on the 2nd monitor. EG: what we desire to do (in obs) is this: Turn the webcam input into a 2nd monitor projection for use on the web stream and on local. We obviously WON'T be interested in viewing the second monitor on stream as we do this. Because we're not stupid.
But in OBS can you input a webcam and the output it simultaneously casting it to a local port that say vlc can watch too? Just desperate to know if we can do this in obs. Cheers.
