Question / Help Settings for low-end PC?

I've been interested to record for a while and I heard OBS is good for the job. My PC is pretty low-end and the settings my friend gave me worked well with my PC and game, but it was pretty low quality. Is there any recommended settings for the specs on my pc?:

Operating System:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1

CPU:
AMD A8-5500
Trinity 32nm Technology

RAM:
6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

Graphics:
Novatek 563A (1280x1024@75Hz)
768MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7560D

All help is appreciated :)

Enable DirectX11 renderer. Post a log from a recording/streaming session to see what settings need improvement and overall hardware performance.

Can you post a log with a recording attempt? That would give us a bit more information.

Assuming you are using x264, here are the settings I would recommend:
Rate Control: CRF
CRF: 15
CPU Usage Preset: ultrafast
Profile: high

Leave everything else at default.

This will give you nearly lossless quality with very little CPU usage.
