Question / Help Setting up Dual PC stream, unexpected crash, would appreciate a hand understanding this

I was capturing using a Elgato HD60 Pro, stream is fine for about 5-10 minutes then OBS crashes.

Gaming PC

Intel i7-6800k
GTX 1070 (8gb)
16gb DDR4

Streaming PC
Intel i5-3570k
GTX 660 (4gb)
8gb DDR3

- I am aware of the difference in system spec but my research suggests this shouldn't cause an issue, is this incorrect? I'd just like to get a bit of enlightenment on the crash and any suggestions to improve my set up from someone with the knowledge.

I have attached the crash dump.

Cheers

Crashes in x264 usually indicate some type of system issue (overheating, bad RAM, etc.). The difference in specs isn't a factor.

Thanks for the reply mate, do you have any idea about how I would go about diagnosing which part of my system is the issue?

Pick a part and test it. For CPU temps get a program like Prime95 to generate load and a temp monitoring tool to track the temps. For RAM run Memtest86+ overnight and check for errors in the morning.

Cheers, I'll give that a go then!

Hey again, reviving this...

So I've tested cpu temps, all fine, ran Memtest86+ - all fine. When I game capture on the stream pc OBS doesn't crash, it only crashes when I'm capturing from the Elgato HD60 Pro, but I see a lot of streamers using them and doing fine, any idea what I may be missing?

The fault address from the crash log is so high number... I cannot understand how it could happen.

What shows Task Manager on memory use when you streaming and how often crash happens?
Can you try obs32.exe instead?

The crash happens anywhere from 15 seconds - 2 minutes after starting the stream.
