The core issue is that with the same forward-facing-settings i get poorer performance with OBS studio than i get with OBS classic.

I don't think you can use baseline when recording at 1920x1080.

if you intend to use crf, set it as rate control and dont mess with buffer size. im not sure using vbr rate control with crf parameter will get you what you want
