Question / Help Sermon Note Overlays

I am running the livestream for my church on Sunday mornings. I am looking for an "easy" way to include sermon notes during the sermons along the bottom of the screen.

Recently, I have just been running a copy of the pastor's slide deck in Keynote on my computer and capturing it as a display input, then switching to htat source when he makes a relevant point. I would like to do something a little nicer, like a lower-thirds sort of thing.

Could the HTML overlay plugin be a good use for this?

Here is our current setup:
Video: Three PTZOptics 20X-SDI > Magwell SDI to USB 3.0 > iMac 5k > OBS > YouTube
Audio: Midas M32 Board > XLR > Tascam US2x2 > USB > iMac 5k > OBS

We also have a Mac Mini on the other side of the booth that we use for media to the congregation. We are using ProPresenter for that.

I would take a splitter coming from ProPresenter instead of your laptop, if you can't do that then Make an overlay with photoshop or something similar that will give you a background for the lower third and type the sermon notes with text input, that's how I make my lower thirds...

I was considering this today and thought that maybe I would just create an input from my ProPresenter where the default screen was a background full of alpha channel. Then anything I throw up in the lower third has an alpha mask for the upper two thirds. Then effectively leaving that input hot with a higher priority than my camera feed. Then whatever I send from PP will automatically overlay the video. Then if I need to do a full screen overlay for whatever, it can be done all through PP. Just a thought. I'm still very new to OBS.
