Hey everyone, I have read everything I could find on google so far about this problem but no fix yet. I'm getting between 55-70% CPU usage in Task Manager when I open OBS. I am using NVENC H.264 settings also and nothing changes when I go back and forth between Nvenc and x264. (which I find really weird) Here's my pc specs: Win 10 PRO, i7 6700 4.0, 16gb ram, GTX 1080ti water cooled. 100 upload, 100 download so speed isn't an issue. I have no issues with cooling, everything is great with that too. I have tried Rescale output on and off, no help either. PLEASE HELP! I've spent days trying to figure this out with no avail. Also, using NDI has not really helped with cpu usage either. If you would like anymore info please let me know! Thanks in advance!

bitrate is too low for 1080p and NVENC isn’t very good at low bitrate. Try reducing resolution to 720p and using x264 at very fast preset.

Disable NDI then (it’s typically used only for streaming to a secondary computer for encoding on a two PC setup)

Changed to x264, 3500 bitrate, very fast, left base at 1920x1080 and changed scaled to 1280x720. OBS at idle(not streaming or recording still using 56%+)

I would try to clean it up. Most likely you’re causing your computer to overwork itself having too much going on in OBS. I would try a clean OBS scene to see where the usage is coming from. unfortunately I can’t check your log file on my phone right now but maybe someone else on here can take a look at it.

Thanks Awolive. I will supply a newer log file tomorrow as well. Thanks for all of your help already! I really do appreciate it.

"Game DVR: On"....turn it off, also remove all those double/triple game_capture sources and use just one for all games.
Remove those horrible browser sources, that give you CPU load and memory leak:
"Number of memory leaks: 121"

You can test this with a totally new scene collection, where you just add game_capture and your webcam for testing.

Thanks BK. I didn't even know what Game DVR was until this post, I just made sure it was off in Window Settings. I have a capture card device installed, but am not using it. (it's not hooked up either) I will uninstall that and kill some of the browser sources and game captures.
