for a long time i am trying to solve a very big mystery - why sometimes i open OBS and the Desktop Audio is off??
i am using OBS for almost 3 years to record gameplay from PlayStation (1-4) and lately also from PC
i am using headset, the desktop audio set to headset
as for the PlayStation i am using Elgato HD60s
everything is set like it suppost to be, i used a guide for that, and most of the time everything is good
but sometimes when i try to record, i can't hear the sound of the game.
in the mixer, i can see that the elgato capture the sound, but i cant hear anything. in Advanced Audio Properties, the elgato set to Monitor and Outpost. when i go to Setting for Capture Device, it set to elgato, and down there at Audio Outpost Mode it's set to Capture Audio Only. if i change it to anything else i can suddenly hear sound but i can't keep it like that because it sound very bad.
in the Mixer itself, i can clearly see that Desktop Audio does not capture anything (i see only 1 line and not 2 for L and R)
if i activate some sound from my pc it suddenly turn to 2 lines of L and R but i still can't hear the game.
if i record, i will hear the sound of the game in the video. but obviously i can't record a gameplay without hearing the game.
no matter what i do, i can't fix it when it's happening. no matter what i will change in the setting there will not be any sound. no matter how many times i turn off the PC and start everything from the beginning, it will not work. it will just fix itself after a few days maybe a week or two. but obviously i can't just wait for it to be fix by itself and i won't just wait for a good luck. this is REALLY annoying and i can't find anything on that all over the internet.
PLEASE!!! someone help me with that because i really don't know what to do anymore
