Hi everyone, I use voicemeeter Potato to separate my audio tracks and voicemod for my mic that has voicemeeter going through it( i made a video showing my connections). I do not have OBS muted and I have all my audio devices exclusivity mode for apps turned off. In the video you can see OBS sees the video but it isnt recording to the video file. This never happened before. I also shared my log files. I have a sorta fix where I use audio input capture and some connections through voicemeeter. This only seemed to happen after I installed OBS 29.0.2. I have tried switching encoders nothing.

How did you end up with no track selected for your stream audio? I didn't think that was possible.

For the recording, I think you're misunderstanding how the tracks work. You mix things into each track, but the tracks don't mix with each other. If you load that recording into a video editor, or a player that supports multiple soundtracks, like VLC, you'll probably see that you have 6 different tracks to choose from:
  • Track 1 has the mic by itself, and is the track that everything uses by default.
  • Track 2 has your Desktop audio by itself.
  • Track 3 has the VOIP audio.
  • Track 4 has the Music/Extra.
  • Track 5 has nothing.
  • Track 6 has everything.
This is how you get different languages and descriptive audio in the same file. Clearly you would not want those to mix with each other, but rather to be selectable on their own. So that's how this system works.

If you want everything to be heard together by default, you need to put them all on Track 1. If you don't care about alternative audio, or keeping them separate to mix later, you can turn off recording the other tracks.

This nifty little assault on the program is silencing dissenters all around the world right now. Because I hear me in the monitors but I can't hear me when I am outside the room. Way to go train derailers. Time for a hotfix?

Because they are silencing dissent. This is a deliberate attack on communications. I heard every word I said, but I was being ghosted the whole time.
