Hi!
I have two questions, that even after several hours of troubleshooting I can't figure the solution out myself. I ask here, hoping to gain some insights into what's the matter.
So Sekiro is a game that I wanted to stream and record at the same time. I did the automated test and accepted the outcome for both streaming and recording.
Here they are:
However, the recording does not get recorded smoothly. The stream doesn't look to good either, from the little feedback I got.
But aside from subjective feedback, OBS is constantly informing me about Encoding Overload.
I have a pretty beefy computer, an 9700K @ 4900mhz and a RTX 2080 Ti with 32 GB of 3000mhz ram.
So I switched around settings like mad in a brute force attempt to find a setting that would work.
I dialed the resolution down to 720p, tried all settings from performance over quality etc... I can't seem to get rid of Encoding Overload.
Then I enabled the nvidia geforce experience feature. I recorded the game with the highest settings, 1080p 60fps + 50 Mbps Bitrate, and the footage looks really good. I didn't notice the stutters that OBS gave me and the game performance didn't suffer either.
So I think the computer is capable of recording at these high settings, something that OBS does - or doesn't - must be the cause.
Is anyone able to provide some tips into the right directio? That would be super helpful.
