Good evening everyone! First time OBS user and first time poster here.
Currently running a i7 4790k with 16gb of ram and a GTX 960.
I've streamed multiple times through the Elgato HD capture through my XboxOne, Ps4 and WiiU without any issues. I have tried XSplit as well and never seemed to have an issue with lag.
I decided to try OBS as my brother and a few other people recommended it to me. So here I am.
I have my stream all setup via Twitch, native resolution is 1920x1080 playing CS:GO with the downscale going to 1280x720, bicubic and 30FPS. I've tried anywhere from 3500 bit rate (super jittery to the point where I can't even game and have to turn off the stream) to 1000 bit rate just to see if it made a difference. Running off San Fran per the TwitchTest I used and I am also on the west coast.
Typically I run 250-275 fps in game and watching 2-3 streams in the background with no issues. As soon as I go to stream my fps will drop dramatically down to 60-75 and the game gets incredibly jumpy. I've been able to stream before with this setup and no issues, so I figure there is something within the settings that is causing this to occur.
Any Ideas? I'm no massive streamer nor do I think I ever will be. Just something I'd like to do for fun on the side.
