Searched and can't find an answer, Nesting Audio doubling problem

Ok so here's what I got. Using scene nesting (sometimes multiple instances of the same nested scene) to layer for visual effects. I'm using an external USB Aux audio device input. I do not need to monitor the sound after it goes into the MacBook but it does need to be recorded/streamed. The sound source is my turntables and I have a separate output going to my speakers, so no need to monitor after sound enters the Mac. What's happening is when I nest multiple scenes, each also being rotated in individually, the audio of each is also layering increasing the gain. I have no way of turning those audio layers off in the nested scenes without also losing audio in the original scene to be nested :/ Make sense? I read something about an audio ducking setting but don't see that anywhere in OBS or even understand how that applies. Thanks.
