Scrolling text doesnt appear to be working on my MAC

As soon as I chose the Scroll filter the text disappears. Any help would be great.

Are you running 29.1.3? I can't seem to find the scrolling-text option anymore, but it is still working in a scene where I have it configured. I think I've just recently upgraded from 29.1.2, so it could be newly introduced. I'm not sure I feel like downgrading my installation right now to find out. Can you share a screenshot of your properties windos for the text?

I think I found the answer I changed the length of my message and it worked, I am wondering now what the threshold is. Thank you for replying

NP. I'd actually forgotten that scroll was a 'filter' and not a property of the text. LOL. :-)
