I'm trying to do a simple "- Stream will return shortly -" scrolling message over an animated background loop, but with some jokes hidden in it if you watch long enough. This means the total text is quite long to accommodate the apparently random jokes appearing amid the repeating stream message. Total text length is 1499 characters. I think the text cuts off and wraps at about the 521 character mark, which is too short to make the jokes appear remotely hidden.
It does this whether reading from a text file or the text entry box. I've formatted it as one long line with no carriage returns.
I've tried the custom text extents but it won't go above 8000 width and still cuts off the text. Resizing the area to fit entirely within the display does not seem to help.
I presume OBS converts the text to a temporary bitmap before overlaying it and it feels like the text is just too long to fit in the maximum bitmap size.
Can anyone suggest a way of getting the full text to scroll or otherwise inserting apparently random extras into the scrolling text?
