Question / Help Screen Stream Mirroring Issues - OBS cannot connect

Good morning!

I have some questions on how to setup Screen Stream with the latest version of OBS (17.0.0) Please see the relevant guides to get some background on the issue:

http://mobzapp.com/mirroring/index.html#faq
http://maxedtech.com/about-testmode/
http://mobzapp.com/mirroring/instructions-usb.html

So i'm trying to share my android phone's screen with OBS. I'm trying to connect through USB instead of over the wifi network, so I've entered in the correct URL and setup all required files (APK Installer, Disable Driver Signature Enforcement is on, turned on debug mode on the phone, etc.) The problem i'm having is when I try to connect to the URL, nothing appears, and the screen stream isn't picking up that it's connected. I think I have the plugins set in the wrong place for OBS, but i'm not sure because there is no guide for OBS plugins for 17.0.0 that I've been able to find. See the attachments/screenshots for my current setup. Please let me know what to do from the OBS side to get this to work, i'm tech savvy but pretty lost at this point... thank you!

You probably need the VLC Video Source, for which you'll need to have VLC Media Player installed (http://www.videolan.org/). When it's there, you'll see it here:

You'll also need to make sure you have the same version (32bit or 64bit) of VLC as you do of OBS.

I'd like to tell you that this is a forum, not a chat. In a forum, you first think about what you post, then write a proper article that includes these thoughts. The best posts are self-contained, that means if you take them elsewhere without their context posts, you can still understand what they are about.

It's not a chat of one-liners. There is a OBS Discord channel. If the forum is not the correct media for you, you might join there.
