Question / Help Screen Resolution for Undertale recording

When I try to record my Undertale gameplay, I can see most of the screen but the bottom menu (the Fight, Act, Item, and Mercy bars). I think this is a problem with my screen resolution but I can't really find the correct resolution to use, if the resolution is the problem. So pretty much, can someone please tell me what the correct resolution is.

Depends on your hardware. What's the native resolution of your display? Because generally you set your canvas and output resolutions to that and then adjust (scale) if required for some reason.

My current video resolution on OBS is Base: 1280x720 and the same thing for output

Ok. If the native resolution of your display is higher than that, and Undertale is full screen (or even if it isn't, but if it's just got a bigger window than 1280x720 on your screen) then the image would be partially cut off.

Right click on your capture in the Preview window of OBS, and from the drop-down menu choose "Transform > Fit to Screen", or just drag the red handles to resize the image until it all fits in your preview window.
