I am Using Debian 10 (xfce) desktop environment on my laptop. Installed OBS Studio .
root@debian:~# apt install obs-studio
It successfully install on my Debian .It shows at the top "OBS 0.0.1 (LINUX)-Profile: Untitled - Scenes: Untitled "
On the " Sources " Box when I click on " + " button I can see list of items.

Audio Capture Device (ALSA)
Audio Input Capture ( PulseAudio)
Audio Output Capture (PulseAudio)
Color Source
Image
Image Slide Show
JACK Input Client
Media Source
Scene
Screen Caputre (XSHM)
Text ( Free Type 2)
VLC Video Source
Video Capture Device (V4L2)
Windows Capture ( xcomposite)

This is on the Linux side.

On the other hand if I install OBS Studio on windows 10 then On the top bar it shows "OBS 26.1.1 (32-bit,windows) -Profile: Untitled - Scenes: Untitled " " Sources " Box when I click on " + " button I can see list of items.

Audio Input Capture
Audio Output Capture
Browser
Color Source
Display Capture
Game Capture
Image
Image Slide show
Media Source
Scene
Text (GD1+)
Video Capture Device
Windows Capture

My concern is only to record a video tutorial on my laptop display , So for recording my whole screen I select "Screen Capture (XSHM) " Is it the right ?
On the Windows 10 operating system (Obs Studio installed) there is a "Display Capture" option on it. The question is "Screen Capture (XSHM) " on Debian 10 and "Display Capture" on Windows 10 are the same thing? Why I can't see the same thing on Linux ? or there is version difference ?

As I have observed that for recording purpose in Windows 10 OBS Studio (Sources) give " Display Capture" and in Linux it is "Screen Capture (XSHM) .
Am I correct ?
