Question / Help Screen Capture Recorder

Hi there,

Me and my brother are currently trying to make a multibroadcast stream, where the viewers can watch both of our perspectives ingame, which is working just fine so far. We're having issues with delays from my brothers stream, due to the fact that he lives far from me. I'm using a Virtual Machine with nginx and RTMP to get his stream, so I can capture it from VLC. We've tested it out, and it seems like he's having a delay between 3 and 6 seconds.

We've tested multiple solutions, and nothing have worked so far - we've enabled a delay on OBS on my PC, which obviously didn't work.

Although we figured out a way - which we're having troubles with. In his OBS he's able to add a Video Capture Device, which shows "screen-capture-recorder" in the "Device" dropdown menu. When I try doing the same thing, I only have my webcam as an option. I've tried disconnecting my webcam, which didn't work. He told that he's able to add a delay on his Video Capture Device, when he chooses "screen-capture-recorder", which shows his desktop.

Does anyone know how he got this option? And why I don't have it? He doesn't know why I don't have it.

Best regards,
Daniele

He has additional software installed, just google a bit.

Usually, the third machine is used where all streams combined, aligned and streamed.

Also, you can apply 10 in a row Render Delay filters (all data stored in your Video RAM almost uncompressed!). But because the delay varies - it is not the option to you.

@Suslik V

Hi there,

Thank you for your assistence. We're having troubles figuring out what software he could've installed, to make this appear in OBS. And we've tried to keep searching for it on Google, but without any luck.

Is it possible that you have any tips, what to search for? Or what kind of software that would be the cause of this? Or maybe another solution, to give a Game Capture delay?
