Screen capture audio

I am new to OBS and am having a problem with the screen capture audio.
One of my scenes uses screen capture for the source.
The other scene uses media source (mp4) for source.
The screen capture will not stop playing when I switch scenes and plays over the mp4.
However, the media source (mp4) stops playing when I switch scenes.
How do I get the screen capture to stop playing when I switch to another scene?

In Settings->Audio, set your Desktop device to Disabled.
Now create an Audio Output Capture in your 'desktop capture' scene, pointed at your default audio device.

This will cause the desktop audio to ONLY be present in scenes where you create this AOC. And if you need it in more than one, make sure you use 'Add Existing' for subsequent ones, not 'Add New'.

I think my difficulty is forming the correct question to ask. This is my second-day learning OBS. I followed your instructions and everything is working correctly.
I am using the window capture to bring Zoom into OBS. The output capture works fine but plays the speaker/headphones.
Is there a way to change the audio channel from the window capture so I can switch between hearing the output capture and the headphones? I have installed the audio monitor plugin and the A&B cables for added audio drivers?
Thanks for any assistance with this.

Thank you for your time.
Could you please inform me how I may use OBS to record a portion of computer screen and not the whole?
Thank you for your consideration.
