Scene Editor External to Live Scene

I'm sure this isn't possible atm, but will the rewrite include an external scene editor? It would be nice to be able to load up unexpected content off stream, then bring it in complete, without doing all the editing live. The example that hits home for me is having a variable number of guests on cam in skype, or something like that. Sometimes you want to add or remove or edit some scene you are about to cut too without doing it in front of the audience.

This will be possible in the Studio version of the rewrite. It's being considered for the basic rewrite UI, too, but I'm not sure if it will be added there or not.
