Question / Help Scene 2 Display Capture Issue

I've been using OBS for streaming on Youtube & recording videos to upload to Youtube for about 6 months and never had this problem until today. For recording videos, I use two different monitors and always open OBS on my right monitor, so for my Scene I use an IOS Camera for recording & sometimes I'll switch to Scene 2 which I use a display capture to show in the video whatever it is I'm viewing on my left side monitor. Today when I switched to scene 2, the display capture is just black even though my left monitor is working just fine. When I removed it and added a new Display Capture, it prompts me to select either Display 1: 1920x1080 @ 0,0 (Left Monitor) OR Display 2: 1920x1080 @ 1920,0 (Right Monitor)... and of course when I select Display 1, nothing, black screen, but if I select Display 2 it grabs what I see on my right monitor (tunneling effect since I'm using right monitor) just fine. I updated OBS to latest version. I restarted OBS. I restarted my PC. Nothing.

Can someone please guide me through what I need to do to fix the problem? And I am FAR from computer literate, so it will have to be in elementary terms.

Thank you

Jeff

1. no log no help ^^
2.sounds like you have a onboard and a regular GPU and you changed the "connection" from the 2 displays from bottom on GPU PCIE to one at the PCIE and one to the onboard slot ? only a mindset try ^^

I changed nothing on my computer or OBS. Oh well, was hoping it was some kind of easy fix, apparently not

According to your log, there is nothing wrong. You have both monitors connected to your Nvidia card, so if you are able to display-capture one monitor, you should be able to display-capture the other as well. It's not clear why this isn't the case.

The only thing I see is if there are other sources above the monitor capture in OBS, so the display capture is obscured by the other sources. If you make your display capture the only source in the scene, you should definitely be able to see something. Move away or disable the other sources for a test to see if this is the case.

It might also help if we could see a screen capture of both monitors in the situation being described (scene 2, unable to capture).
