Question / Help Scaling Scenes To Multiple Resolutions

Hi!

I've been using the Edit Transform menu to set my sources up with mathematically even spacing. However, when I switch to a profile with a different resolution, things obviously stay in the same space by pixel math, but that puts it in a different place by screen proportions.

Is there any way to reuse scenes composed for e.g. 1080p when scaling down to 480p or 720p?

Edit: By which I mean, is there a way to keep sources scaled to screen size percentages, rather than pixel size?

Not simply, no. You could create a new scene collection and rescale everything to the new profile, and then switch both the profile and scene collections to keep things synced up, but as far as automating the process of setting everything up, nothing currently exists.

Aw, darn! Thanks for the confirmation, though.

Are there any hacky tricks, like composing partial scenes and then using them as sources with scaling filters in other scenes?

Not for doing live output, but some people will record at 3840x1080 so they can have two side-by-side 1080p sources and then cut them and edit in post for upload.
