Hi All,

I need some help I have a Samsung Odyssey G9 49inch monitor 5120 x 1440 in the video section I have downscaled the streaming resolution to 2560x1440 and also tried 1920x1080 but when I stream on Youtube the image just looks so stretched out. Any help would be appreciated.

Please post an OBS log from a Stream
Check your output resolution and our canvas size Make sure they are in the same ratio

Certainly does it look stretched (actually: squeezed), if you squeeze a 32:9 aspect ratio capture into some 16:9 output resolution. Looking into how Youtube currently supports non-16:9 video, it seems the player actually supports that, if the footage is uploaded as such. At least with uploads, I don't know how it works with streaming. Example for a 32:9 video here)

You must not stretch or squeeze your video to change aspect ratios. You need to add black bars to keep aspect ratio.
So either let the thing you intend to capture render with 2560x1440 (and having two large vertical black bars on your monitor) and stream with 2560x1440, or let the thing you intend to capture render with full 5120x1440, capture this, and stream this - optionally downscaled to some other 32:9 aspect ratio resolution such as 3840x1080.
