Sample Rate seemingly refuses to change

TL;DR Why does my sample rate show 44100, when my OBS Settings and all monitoring and recording devices are set to 48000? I've tried adjusting settings in and out of OBS but nothing seems to change it.

Hey folks, I recently ran into some audio issues when recording gameplay (recording only, not streaming) that gave me the "Max audio buffering reached!" message. After doing a fair bit of searching, I thought that the cause of this issue would be due to a timing mismatch with some of my devices. Since then I have gone into the windows sound settings and ensured all of my monitoring and recording devices are set to 48000 Hz, confirmed that the upscaler I used is outputting audio at 48 kHz, and confirmed that my capture card should be using 48000 Hz.

Despite all of this... it seems OBS keeps showing my sample rate as 44100! I've tried changing the sample rate in the audio settings from 48 kHz to 44.1 kHz and back again, I've tried making a separate audio source for the capture card and using that, I've set the capture card as a global audio device but, alas, the sample rate stays at 44100. Might there be something else I've overlooked? Am I misunderstanding the information in the log? I'm hoping to figure this out before I try recording again because I would hate to have to scrap another session to start over.

Here's the log where I tried to retrace my changes:

I hope this query makes sense; I'm still a bit new to this, so let me know if there's more information I can provide.
