Question / Help Same GPUs, second one gives error

In Settings -> Output -> GPU it works with a value of 0, but not 1. This laptop came with 2 graphics cards, they are the same. In the past, OBS was able to record with this value at 1. SLI is disabled. Again, it records right now if that value is 0, but not 1. Both graphics cards are using the same driver, because they are the same card, so I don't understand why it doesn't work.

I originally was using nvidia nvenc h264, but that wasn't working at all anymore, so now I am using nvidia nvenc h264 (new).

It's very unlikely you have SLI in a laptop, most likely there is an integrated GPU and a discrete GPU.

If they're both the same, is there a reason you need to record with GPU=1 instead of GPU=0?

Is OBS designation of 0 and 1 absolute, or relative to which GPU it is assigned to in the Nvidia control panel?
