This is usually caused by 3rd party DLLs / plugins. Check for any system-wide hooking software or any buggy plugins you have have installed.

Crashes in x264 generally indicate unstable hardware (bad overclock, overheating, faulty RAM).

I don't have overclock on my pc ,

when im running obs for the overheating

And my pc no lagging more than usual ,i can continue to play games for exemple, so i don't think it's ram. And since 3 month i never had this problem with the same PC. This is so strange!

Nothing has changed with the x264 library since version 18, it's unlikely to be an OBS issue. x264 crashes like that indicate failing hardware in nearly all cases.

I think it's a problem with the last windows update on some computer, do you think it's possible? We're a few to have this problem today on the forum, since 2 days, the windows update was 31 May!
Do you think it's possible?

Atm i go on the old OBS and all it's OKAY

Yep i know, i just said i go back to OBS classic, cause obs studio doesn't work with me since 31 May, exactly after the windows update.

Hello guys, i do some test since the last time, and i need yout help once again! Thanks a lot
First of all, since i have up the power of my GPU & CPU FAN and after this, no more x264 error , but still runtime error visual c++.
So after you tell me it's a Hardware failling , i do a run with memtest, to testing my ram , i test 1700 Mo * 4 on memtest, cause i have 8 giga and results are 0 errors!

So after i have test my CPU with LinX , and i have an error around 4 minutes of testing , do you think it's the cpu who makes crashe OBS? During the test my cpu almost hit 90c. But when i stream it's around 50c max.

In an over way , with the runtime error, i can continue to stream , but when a first runtime error pop-up , the desk-song crashes (no longeur song from games etc...) and the streams have some colors variatons .

Do you think i need to test my GPU to? Thanks guys! Realy need your help! Streaming il almost my job since 3 month.
