I'm new to OBS, so this might be a noob question
So, basically, i wanna run OBS on a (linux) server and stream video to that from another device so the server can handle all the encoding stuff and whatnot and it takes the load off the other device. I'd like to record and also stream to streaming platforms from that server.
I would be sending the data through the internet, but both mine and the servers connection are very good so this should not be a problem. Also, it doesn't have a GPU but a very beefy CPU it can use for encoding etc
Is this somehow possible? And if yes, how?
Edit: Also, it's a dedicated server, so there's no virtualization going on there. Everything is running on bare metal.
