Running OBS 27, and update tells me it's the latest? but is it?

I'm on an iMac and OBS 27 runs fine, and Update tells me its the latest.
However,
I also have a MacBook Pro and it is running OBS 28, and it also tells me its the latest?

hmmmm Is there some conflict of identity here?
