I am capturing and recording to my Macbook Pro using my DSLR as webcam but it seems the setup is over taxing my Video Capture Card and the Macbook Pro both are running hot with fan constantly running. i am preparing for a project in capturing five 20-minute segments of singing groups then later uploading them to youtube- no editing or high def required. can you recommend some low OBS settings to avoid the video card and computer from working too hard ? oh -and the DSLRL will be capturing the audio as well.
equipment :
1. Sony A7Riii DSLR
2. Macbook Pro (Mid 2014) 2.5 GHz i7-4870 CPU, 16GB Ram, GeForce GT 750M, USB 3.0,
3. HDMI Video Capture Card USB3.0 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5ZJSMS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_42njDb61NFR2P

Not a lot we can do if the thing is getting too hot. Macbooks have a pretty long history of bad heat management.

Indistinguishable quality, large file size. The part that's going to make the computer heat up is making the file size smaller.
