Question / Help RTX 2060 + OBS and the new NVENC

Hello fellow 2060 owners. I suppose some of you bought this card today and have already tested the new NVENC in OBS beta build with it. I'm about to go and buy a 2060 but I need to make sure. Does it have the same new NVENC capabilities as 2070 and 2080?

Also, please let me know what you have achieved in terms of quality. Does 1080p60 at 8000 kbps with RTX NVENC really look like x264 on Medium?

Nope, isnt like medium x264 preset, its suppose to be like Fast x264 preset, a little better but not like medium.

I see. I have a dual PC setup and the streaming PC has a Ryzen 1700x. Because of multiple other tasks, I'm limited to faster at most.
I want to upgrade the quality, so I need to decide between a new CPU and an RTX.

I'm thinking about waiting for the new Ryzen 9 series so I don't need to change mobo, but with the RTX idea I could upgrade right now.
Both ideas would cost a similar price.

The idea behind the new RTX Nvenc codec is to use only a single PC with good quality and less performance impact. If you have a dual PC, is useless invest in the GPU, you have to invest in the CPU imho.
