Question / Help RTSP Source - PROBLEM

HI,

I have a problem with open camera view by RTSP Source.
I use: rtsp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:554/live.sdp but nothing happens.
When I try to use the same string in VLC Player or Xplit Boradcaster works perfect.
What I'm doing wrong ??? Please Help Me.

Maybe important information is that the camera is in a different location than me.
Regards,
Wieslaw

Harold yesterday evening I did stream with OBS and IP camera using rtsp protocol but I was in the same local network and working well. I try to do the same thing but remoetly.
Are you sure that OBS does'n have a RTSP ?

Hi Harold,
I don't know where to check is it 32-bit or 64-bit ?
I found this : "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe"
So OBS will work with remote camera using RTSP protocol ?

Install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of VLC
Then, AFTER restarting obs, add the RTSP address to OBS with the VLC source instead of media source.

Harold,
It's working :) How did you know that ?
Second question is :
- do I have to use always VLC Source no matter that I use IP camera in the same network or remotely ?

With the camera you currently have, yes.
I have the exact same issue with my Amcrest cam. Windows 10, obs 64 bit, Vlc 64 bit ... video shows up perfectly in VLC along with day/time in lockstep. Try to use the IP address from VLC and a I get a blank screen with sources of both media AND VLC sources... I do see a red dot ...

Any help would be great ..trying to stream to YouTube
