Question / Help RTMP help

So I want to make my linux box a rtmp server and I have followed everystep to the "T" and i get the "Welcome to nginx" webpage when I put it my local ip buuuuuuut when I go to my windows machine and obs and type rtmp://server ip/live then press okay and start stream i get a dialog box that says "Failed to connect to server".
Port 1935 is forwarded.
