RTMP Errors streaming to YouTube

Lately I've been having a lot of disconnection issues streaming to YouTube. I've streamed to YouTube for years and never had this issue before.

This problem is ruining my stream.

The stream will be fine for however many minutes and then disconnect and then reconnect a minute or seconds later.

I can see in the log:

18:56:17.861: WriteN, RTMP send error 32 (3160 bytes)
18:56:17.861: WriteN, RTMP send error 32 (59 bytes)
18:56:17.861: WriteN, RTMP send error 9 (42 bytes)

What do error 32 and error 9 mean? How can I solve them?

Hello... I've just had the above situation happen to me for the first time. Stream cut out temporarily with the WriteN, RTMP send errors listed above. I run a weekly show on YouTube, and the only that changed from week to week was updating to OBS v.26.1.2 (64-bit). Running macos Catalina 10.15.5.

Here's a snippet of the log file, with the same error Macobs mentioned above...

16:48:22.276: User switched to scene 'SplitScreen (FUJI)'
16:48:22.328: [obs-ios-camera-plugin] Deactivating
16:53:37.671: [obs-ios-camera-plugin] Activating
16:53:38.748: User switched to scene 'FUJI CAM'
16:54:15.103: WriteN, RTMP send error 32 (411 bytes)
16:54:15.103: WriteN, RTMP send error 32 (59 bytes)
16:54:15.103: WriteN, RTMP send error 9 (42 bytes)
16:54:15.103: [rtmp stream: 'adv_stream'] Disconnected from rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2
16:54:15.103: Output 'adv_stream': stopping
16:54:15.103: Output 'adv_stream': Total frames output: 66230
16:54:15.103: Output 'adv_stream': Total drawn frames: 66301 (66308 attempted)
16:54:15.103: Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 7 (0.0%)
16:54:15.103: Output 'adv_stream': Reconnecting in 10 seconds..

I've attached the entire log below.

Other notes... I use a Fuji x-t3 as a webcam, with the Fuji 2.0 webcam app. And sometimes I use the obs-ios camera plugin.

Did you get any resolution on this? Same problem. OBS 26.1.2, Catalina 10.15.7. I read that it could be YouTube causing the disconnect? Perhaps the bitrate being too high?

OK - I've done my own investigations (not sure if I'm right) but for us, it is YouTube disconnecting from OBS and not a problem with OBS directly. Apparently RTMP isn't as good as using HLS and so I'm going to try HLS as an alternative. In our case, it looks like our Internet might be dropping for a very short time. This in turn causes YouTube to disconnect and reconnect.

It fixed itself eventually. I believe it was related to the fact we were using Wi-Fi and the connection was extremely spotty. Youtube never showed any kind of error to indicate this, but I think you're on the right track.
