Hi all,
I need some specific instructions on how to route audio to OBS for streaming. I've reviewed countless threads here and on OBS and have messed around with all of the usual options without success (Loopback, IShowU, Blackhole, etc).
Here is my setup: Traktor Pro 3 on MBP with CDJ timecode connected to my Ecler Evo 5, an early "Traktor Certified" Mixer with a built in audio card (essentially, a version of the Audio 8 DJ). The mixer was revolutionary at the time for its single firewire connection for audio. These days, I'm using a firewire to thunderbolt adaptor to connect the mixer to the MBP. I then have RCAs from mixer to each CDJ. I set the Traktor Audio to "Evo 5", assign external mode inputs 0 and 1 for left CDJ Deck A and inputs 2 and 3 for right CDJ Deck B. Outputs are also 0 and 1, and 2 and 3, respectively. I record internally in Traktor and assign to inputs 8 and 9 using the mix recorder.
So the above works like a charm and all is good. My question is, what do I need to do to properly get audio into OBS? For example when I use iShow U, I can get youtube audio for example into my left channel of the mixer and into OBS. If I use Loopback, I can also under some settings set some sound into OBS, but only when I de-select Evo 5 audio in Traktor and select "Loopback Device." But if I select anything other than "Evo 5" on the main audio option in Traktor, I loose timecode control via the CDJs. So I think however I make this work i need to leave "Evo 5' to maintain the use of the timecode.
I've also tried method B in the NI tutorial on NI's site by looping an RCA master out from my mixer into mixer input deck 4, but I'm not sure how to get that deck into OBS.
Based upon this setup, can someone walk me through the steps I need to take to route the audio properly to OBS using what I have? Appreciate it!
