Question / Help route specific audio inputs into OBS on windows 10

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to route/receive specific audio inputs in OBS on windows 10, can you please help?

I use a iConnectivity Audio4+ audio interface to send audio from Ableton Live running on an iMac to OBS running on a PC. Both computers are connected to the interface via 2 USB wires and the interface sends audio from the Mac to the PC on inputs 5 and 6. It used to work perfectly and was easy (I think the audio just came through by default as desktop audio or mic/aux in OBS) but recently something has stopped working and I haven’t been able to figure it out with the iConnectivity support.

I’ve looked at OBS settings alot to try to figure out how to get audio inputs 5+6 into OBS so my stream can recieve audio from the ableton master mix, but haven’t been able to do it yet. The OBS settings and Windows 10 settings both give me a few more general different options for audio input (like line input from the audio interface, the audio from cameras, audio from ndi) but does not give me any options for selecting individual audio inputs like 5 and 6. (The line input sends the raw audio from the interface, but it doesn’t give send the full mix from Ableton.)

On the Mac I’m familiar with using Audio Midi settings (as well as other tools like Loopback and Ableton) to route the proper audio channels/inputs into OBS on the Mac, but I don’t know how to do this on the PC.

How can I route/receive these audio inputs in OBS on the PC?

Thanks,
Dan

Hello
I have some issue while installing the plugin - trend office scan finds asio 2.0.0 for obs 24 as a potential thread (potential ransomware). I usually have no such a warning while installing third party sftware.

Has anybody tried install asio plugin 2.0.0 with virus scan experience ?

(I plan to feed audio OBS directly from a steinberg ur824, possibly with help of a usb controller)

Thanks in advance,
And many thanks for your job. OBS is a great software !
Regards,
F
(or should I open another thread ?)

Hi, I'm having an issue with this ASIO plugin where it often doesn't receive the audio unless I manually fix it, can you please help?

The ASIO plugin works perfectly when its working, but the past few times that I've turned on my computer it has not been working until I manually fixed it. This has caused me to stream without audio because I didn't realize that it wasn't working. I want to make this plugin always work at all times and never require fixing so that I never miss out on the audio during a stream.

The issue that requires me to fix is that it disconnects from the audio interface (iConnectivity ASIO driver for a iConnectivity Audio4+ audio interface) and/or it disconnects from the correct channels (instead of being USB D2 in 1 and USB D2 in 2, it just says mute for each). This can be fixed by going into the "Properties for ASIO" window and changing it back to the correct settings, although sometimes it also times some extra time to fix because the window for "Properties for ASIO" in OBS will say its not responding or it won't allow me to select the correct audio interface/channels without restarting it or making a new ASIO audio source in OBS. Also, there are some times that the ASIO audio source shows that the iConnectivity ASIO driver is connected and both USB D1 and D2 are connected as well, but no audio comes through and changing the settings in the "Properties for ASIO" window does not fix the audio. In this situation, I can fix the audio by creating a new ASIO audio source and configuring the settings for the new source, and then it starts working again.

Why does the ASIO plugin keep disconnecting like this and how can I fix it so that it always works at all times and never require fixing?

I'm wondering if its an issue with the plugin itself, or maybe the way I'm using it, or maybe its a matter of sequencing where things need to be opening in the correct order (although in every case I think that the Audio interface was already powered on before OBS was launched so I'm not sure about that).

What do you think I should do to fix this?

Also, do I need to manually update the ASIO plugin whenever there’s an update to the plugin or does that happen automatically?

Thanks,
Dan
