Rodecaster Pro connection problem

Hi
Sorry to bother you if this has been asked before but I cannot for the life of me figure out why the sound from my Rodecaster Pro is not being picked up by OBS. I use a MacBook Air which is running Sonoma 14.2.1 and have downloaded the very latest version of OBS today. On my MacBook I have set my Rodecaster up as the audio input device and the Mac sees it and hears it fine, the meter level rises clearly as sound comes i to the Mac Audio set up box. I have the Rodecaster attached via a USB hub to my MacBook Air. I have selected the Rodecaster pro as the source in the Mic/Aux2 drop down menu in OBS and it says it is Active. I have added the Audio input device into my scene and selected Mic/Aux2 and I see it in my scene but there is no sound coming in the faders stay at 0.

Is there something else that I may be missing?

Any help would be appreciated

Further update, I have changed the audio device to the MacBook internal microphone and I am not getting any sound coming into OBS from that either? so I have definitely done something wrong

Yup, was just going to suggest checking permissions on the Mac; but now I read you have done so and solved the problem. FYI, I have a similar set up: original RCP into a Mac Studio (Mini before that, MBP before that, intel iMac before that), so I do have a bit of experience with this setup. Main difference for my setup is I use the RCP's USB port to connect to a second computer (MacBookPro) that is used for guests via Skype or Zoom during livestreams, thereby taking advantage of the built-in mix-minus. To get the program audio out of the RCP, I take the balanced analog audio out from the RCP's speaker/monitor jacks into balanced line inputs on a stereo audio interface, and then the USB out from there into the Mac Studio. Don't hesitate to DM me with any other questions or thoughts.
