Rocky 8.10 - BM Ultrastudio Recorder 3G - driver not listed

Hello
I am testing OBS with a BM Ultrastudio Recorder 3G box on Rocky 8.10. The latest BM decklink driver is installed and I have a camera image via the Ultrastudio Recorder when I use the BM Media Express app. Therefore, I know that the system is working. Yet I cannot see the Ultrastudio Recorder 3G in the list of video sources. I have downloaded the latest OBS version and restarted the machine countless times. Is there somewhere where the drives are meant to be installed so that OBS sees them? Thanks for any suggestions.

Do you have the Decklink source in the list? Decklinks are not listed as video sources.

Notice the "Blackmagic Device" entry in the sources list. Blackmagic decided to to their own API. So Blackmagic devices won't appear under regular "Video Capture device" ever.

Hmmm ... I don't see the Blackmagic device in my list and I cannot find in OBS settings a way to set it up.

It depends who packaged your version of OBS and whether they ship this plugin or not. You need a version which does, in worst case you need to build it yourself. Some may refrain to ship it because of it's proprietary license of the Decklink SDK.

I get OBS from dl.flathub.org via the Rocky Software app. I have discovered that there is a load of plugins available but I don't see anything particularly BlackMagic. Where do you get your package from?

So in short, I have to package it myself ... Not rightly sure how to do that. Looks like I need to find a mac :(. Thank you so much for your help.
