Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen + Audiotechnica AT2020 + elgato HD60S+

  • only OBS and adobe Reader running
  • same sample ratio set in OBS and windows to 48000
  • .bat file "soundfix" restarting audio devices doesn't help
  • unplugged unnecessary USB devices - doesn't help
  • restarting OBS works!!!

Check out my test video: https://youtu.be/z0z1vHypA0U (no english but it doesn't matter)

You can hear a robotic voice on the beginning, then at 1:38 I restarted OBS and continued streaming with the same stream key. Then at 4:09 I switched to another computer to test AT2020 with USB plug (different mic, no audio interface) - it worked but that second computer was also after fresh start of OBS

I had same problems on Focusrite Solo 2gen

There's a lot of people having same issues - just search "robotic voice" on youtube or Google it. - It must be something with OBS software.

It sucks because before every stream I am not sure i succeed. I don't want to disappoint a thousand people because my audio doesn't work.

Seems like a hardware problem, given multiple reports with the same hardware. Probably a shared component used in these devices.

You have another issue tho:
09:39:43.797: adding 213 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 256 milliseconds (source: Sony a7 III)

which is funny because previously in the log u got:
09:39:43.500: using video device audio: no

May not be the same. But something going on there.

Also the usual things : not admin, outdated software/windows.
