I have had one for about a year but unfortunately I haven't recorded much with it mostly because I discovered it was incompatible with a standalone (non pc/obs) hd capture card I was using. I then noticed that the creator of the retrotink recommended something I already had, one of those cheap hdmi usb cards that come from china, these thingys;
some people have done reviews for these on youtube and in some tests I found they were pretty good for the price. so I thought lets concentrate on using that with obs maybe? which is what I am doing now. so from going on from this I need to figure out some configuration settings to best work with this setup. does anyone use obs with the retrotink 5x and a budget capture card have any input on the topic? i'm gonna try capture basically anything up to and including 6th gen with using this recommended capture device if I can.
