Resizing issue

The app i am using and or capturing is Nvidia app driven by elgato web cam, it uses my old iphone as a web cam, via nvidia app, both give me a web cam,
what the issue is the red border tool snaps weather it is off or on the borders of the application, it does not let me select and or crop to the actual video image. it shrinks and or moves the whole app around the screen, and is impossible to crop just the image. I have tried the transformation options, filter crops. I must be missing a simple tool. any help would be great. thanks

Do i need real web cam to make it work right . thanks

To crop a source in OBS, press and hold down the ALT key while dragging the source handles on the preview.
