I ran a 2160p HVEC recording, plus 1080p/720p streams for 5 hours, no issues observed with my rig. Hard to tell if there were any performance gains with the limited testing but there were no negatives that I observed. Might be worth a try if you have the hardware available.
For those of you using Arc, it's recommended:
Summary
Intel® Arc™ Graphics provides best performance with a resizable BAR but it's not a requirement to run the GPU.
Description
Want to know if Intel® Arc™ Graphics will still work on a system without a resizable BAR.
Resolution
Resizable BAR (or Smart Access Memory) must be enabled for optimal performance when using Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics. Though, Intel® Arc™ Graphics can still work on a system without Resizable BAR enabled.
Additional information
Resizable bar is a motherboard feature that can be enabled under BIOS settings. Consult with your motherboard manufacturer to determine whether your motherboard supports resizable BAR.
