Question / Help Rescale Output for Local Recording or Stream?

I want to stream at 720p but record at 1080p. Do I need to rescale output for the stream tab or the local recording tab? I'm not sure if I set the scaled resolution in the video tab to 1920x1080 to match the base canvas resolution then set the output rescale in the stream tab to 1280x720 and not touch it for the local recording or set the scaled resolution to 1280x720 and set the local recording output rescale to 1920x1080.

Sorry if this is not worded correctly as I am having a hard time trying to convey what I am trying to do. I am using x264 for stream encoder and NVENC for local recording. Thank you.

Settings - video should have BOTH resolutions set to 1920x1080
Settings - output should have the stream resolution at 1280x720 and the recording resolution at 1920x1080

Thank you for the help. I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out how to get the best quality for both streaming and recording so I didn't have to upload 720p vids to YT. Should I add any downscale filters for the stream? I'm not sure if the filters work for scaling outside the Video tab.
