Question / Help Requirements for streaming local Media files

Hi guys,

I've been testing streaming some HD video files over Facebook Live and the Facebook stream is incredibly poor.

I'm wondering what hardware/software determines the quality of the stream, and whether there are any particular OBS settings or guides relevant to this topic?
