Replays from replay buffer very choppy/hitching

Hi!

I am using OBS' replay buffer. My recordings with it are VERY choppy, as in 1 frame every 15 seconds or so - it's very inconsistent. Audio works just fine.

I had an HDD before and OBS worked just fine.
Then I got myself a new SSD and had OBS installed on it. The issue occured here for the first time. I installed it back on the HDD and now the issue persists.

My specs
  • Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • 16GB DDR4-RAM
  • Ryzen 3600
  • Radeon RX580
  • SSD as main drive, OBS is installed on a seperate HDD. HDD has been formatted and has solely OBS installed

SOLVED

Using OBS' Log Analyzer (https://obsproject.com/tools/analyzer), where I uploaded my log files, I figured out that OBS has never had enough privileges on startup, meaning that OBS has been GPU-restricted every single time.

Running OBS as administrator solves the issue.

However, if you want OBS and the replay buffer to start up automatically whenever Windows starts up, putting the shortcut into the "Startup" Windows folder won't do it as programs here won't ever startup with admin rights.

Instead, use the Task Scheduler app by Windows. Task Scheduler runs programs on startup and with admin rights.

Simply follow this guide for this. It's the second reply by user 'Koala': https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...-in-windows-10-with-startreplaybuffer.116313/
