Replay buffer with less than 5s

The replay buffer works fine with the instant-replay script. The max buffer size is defined in seconds with a minimum of 5s. Is it possible to set it to less seconds? I need very slow replays (30-50% speed) for foosball shooting scenes. I buffer size about 2-3s would be fine.
